Official Contest Rules

Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WXLV/WMYV viewing area.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc., and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WXLV-WMYV (the “Station”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
1. (a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Qualified entrants may enter as often as they wish. Individuals may enter as individuals or as a team. A team may not contain any more than eight (8) members. (b) To enter, log on to www.getyourbits.com, download the “MOBIDEAL COMMERCIAL CONTEST” entry form; or during normal business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm), request a “MOBIDEAL COMMERCIAL CONTEST” entry form. Each group must submit a completed team leader entry form along with a completed individual team member entry form for each member of the team. Individual
entrants must submit a completed individual entry form. Each entrant (group or individual) must submit and edited video thirty (30) seconds in length in accordance with the rules described herin. The video must contain an advertisement for ABC45/MY48’s B.I.T.S mobile coupon service. Entrant should mail the completed entry forms and DVD to WXLV/WMYV Attn: MobiDeals Contest 3500 Myer Lee Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Video entries must be in the form of DVD. Electronic video files (ie. .mov, .mpeg, .wma, .avi) will not be accepted. Individuals appearing in the commercial must also sign an appearance release which must be submitted with the entry form, as further
described in paragraph (h) below. By entering, entrants represent that the commercial does not violate the rights of any third parties.
(c) The contest starts on September 1, 2010, and all entries must be received by
Station by 5 p.m. on November 1, 2010. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or
misdirected mail or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other
electronic malfunction.
(d) Entries will be judged by a panel of (4) judges comprised of Station personnel
based on the following criteria: (i) impact of message (50%) (ii) creativity (25%) (iii)
Technical Skills (25%) On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, the judges will select three (3)
finalists from valid entries and based on the criterion set forth above. The decision of the
judges shall be final. The Station and judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to
disqualify any entry. All finalists will be notified by November 5, 2010.
(e) The finalist’s commercials will be available for viewing online at
www.abc45.com. Beginning November 15, 2010, until 11:49pm EST on December 2,
2010, viewers will have the opportunity to vote on the finalist commercial of their choice
by voting online at www.abc45.com. The finalist commercial with the highest total of
votes online will be aired in rotation on both ABC45 and MY48. No mechanically
reproduced votes will be accepted. Station reserves the right to determine in its sole and
absolute discretion whether votes received are mechanically reproduced and disqualify
such votes.
(f) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from
ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair
Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will
not be acknowledged or returned.
(g) All entries must be entrants’ original work and should not be/have been submitted
to or published or broadcast by any other publication or media company. The
commercial message may not contain any copyrighted or trademarked material
including but not limited to: photograph likenesses of or references to celebrities
or known persons alive or dead, recorded music, published works from books,
magazines, newspapers, plays, song lyrics, scripts, essays, articles, website
content, or clips from television programs or movies, sports footage, official logos
of any organizations other than those provided by ABC45/MY48, existing
artwork or graphic design. Entrants cannot use copyrighted music in the
commercial; only original or non-copyrighted music. The Station reserves the
right to edit, crop, or alter the commercial without notification to or approval by
entrant.
(h) No royalties, talent fees or compensation will be paid to those who appear in the
video entry submissions. Any individual appearing in submitted commercials also
must submit a signed appearance release form. Anyone under 18 that appears in
one of the commercials must have a parent signature to appear in the commercial.
The Prize(s)
1. The individual or group’s commercial to receive the most online votes will be deemed
the Grand Prize Winner. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive on-air recognition an
have their thirty (30) second commercial air on both ABC45 and MY48. The Grand
Prize winning individual or group will also receive an ABC45/MY48 prize pack.
Winners will be notified of the estimated retail value of the prize(s).
2. Finalist and Winners will be notified by phone. Winners must sign and return a release
and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 30 days of notification (if a
group wins, each individual must sign a release). If a winner is a minor, then the
winner’s parents or guardian must sign a release and affidavit of eligibility before the
winner receives his or her prize. Winners must show picture identification to claim
prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to
accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. Failure to collect the prize within 30 days will constitute forfeiture of the prize. If
forfeited, the prize will remain the property of Station. Another winner will not be
selected.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole
discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No
transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on
prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.
6. Sinclair Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair
Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy
its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
7. Sinclair Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair
Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly
from the award or use of the prize.
8. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc.,
Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to
publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the
winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business
hours at 3500 Myer Lee Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27101 and on the Station’s website at
www.getyourbits.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to
WXLV/WMYV Attn: MobiDeals Contest 3500 Myer Lee Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27101
no later than January 31, 2011.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where
prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. Sinclair
Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc. accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any
injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance,
possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest
information.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the
aforementioned contest dates.:
